Fun with Paper Mâché: Create Your Own Craft!

Materials You Will Need:

• Newspapers or old magazines
• Flour
• Water
• Balloon
• Paint or markers
• Paintbrush
• Varnish (optional)

Steps to Create Your Paper Mâché Craft:

1. Rip newspaper into small pieces (about 2 inches long).
2. Mix equal parts of flour and water in a bowl to form a paste.
3. Inflate the balloon as big as you want your craft to be.
4. Dip the newspaper pieces into the flour mixture. Remove the excess paste.
5. Cover the balloon with the newspaper pieces. Apply layers until it is sturdy.
6. Let it dry for at least 24 hours. Then, pop the balloon inside to remove it!
7. Paint or decorate your paper mâché item as you like. You can use bright colors!
8. Optional: Apply varnish for a shiny finish!
