  • My Favorite Festival: Diwali

    My Favorite Festival: Diwali

Diwali is my favorite festival. It is known as the Festival of Lights. Every year, we celebrate it with great joy. Diwali usually falls in October or November. This is when people in India celebrate by lighting diyas and bursting crackers.

On Diwali, we clean our homes. We decorate them with colorful rangolis and bright lights. My mom prepares delicious sweets, like ladoos and barfis. Everyone visits relatives and friends. We share gifts and sweets with each other.

In the evening, we perform prayers to Goddess Lakshmi. She brings us good luck and wealth. After prayers, we light more diyas. The night sky shines bright with fireworks. There are so many colors! It makes me feel very happy.

Diwali also teaches us about kindness and sharing. We should help those who are less fortunate. Some people donate sweets and clothes during this time to spread happiness.

I love Diwali because it brings everyone together. My family, friends, and neighbors all celebrate together. It is the perfect time for making beautiful memories. I wait for this festival all year long!
