    Human circulatory system

    The heart ,blood and blood vessels form the circulatory system. Blood vessels are tube -like and are connected to the heart.The circulatory system controls the flow of blood in the body. The heart works like a pump. The movement of the blood vessels by the pumping action of the heart is called circulation.

    The heart makes the sound, lub-dub,lub -dub, as it pumps blood to every part of the body. Blood vessels are of two types -arteries and veins. Arteries carry blood from the heart to every part of the body.

  • The Digestive System

    Human digestive system

    Organs that work together to digest food form the digestive system . The mouth , food pipe, stomach,small intestine and large intestine some of the organs of the human digestive system.

    We chew food in the mouth. From the mouth , the food passes into the food pipe. The food pipe connects mouth and the stomach. From the food-pipe, the food goes into the stomach.

    Food remains in the stomach for a few hours and then goes into a long narrow and coiled tube called the small intestine.

    As the food passes from the mouth to the small intestine,

    it breaks down into simple ,useful substances. The process of breaking down of food into simple , useful substances that can be used by the body is called digestion. Digestion of food begins in the mouth and is completed in the small intestine . The useful substances from from the digested food enter the blood and are carried to every part of the body. From the small intestine , the

    undigested food goes into the large intestine and is removed from the body through the anus.

  • The Respiratory Sytem

    Human respiratory system

    Organs that work to obtain fresh air and remove used air from the form the respiratory system . The nose,the windpipe and two lungs form the respiratory system. We breathe in air through the nose. From the nose,air enters the windpipe.The windpipe takes air to the lungs and the lungs get filled with fresh air. Fresh air has a good amount of oxygen gas . The blood flowing through the lungs takes in oxygen gas and carries it to every part of the body. The body uses oxygen gas to produce energy. The body also produce carbon dioxide gas. The body does not need carbon dioxide gas; it is a kind of waste . Every time we breathe out air, some of this carbon dioxide gas is removed from the body.
